Located north / northeast of Clermont, just south of Astatula. Sugarloaf Mountain is one of the premier locations in the central Florida road ride portfolio.
CR 561 off of US 27 north of Minneola, on it's way to the intersection of CR455, takes you through the area.
Watch for Sugarloaf Mtn Rd to break to the east before you come up to the intersection with 455 out of Ferndale. CR455 offers a nice ride as well, though the developers spoiled the valley with a slow-to-bloom subdivision. On a clear day the view is really nice. The rider on Sugarloaf Mtn road is rewarded by being connected back to CR561A - right goes back to 561, left goes to CR455 in Ferndale...which can take you back over part of Sugarloaf Mtn again....
